About a month ago I was lucky enough to see a Cinnabar moth flitting about the ragwort at the Maple Lodge reserve in Hertfordshire
http://maplelodge.org/
There were already a number of Cinnabar caterpillars on the plants, though very few ragworts had yet to grow and flower.

  Pretty little things, aren’t they? By chance, I saw some Cinnabar caterpillars on Ragwort today – no moths though. 🙂
