‘Frost is the greatest artist in our clime –
he paints in nature and describes in rime.’
~ Thomas Hood (1799-1845, English editor, poet, publisher, and engraver)
Great choice of words that describe your photographs perfectly. I love words and have to admit that our cameras sometimes make us lazy in that respect.
Thanks, Theresa. I loved this quote too. I keep a note of quotes that appeal to me and sometime they inspire the photograph, though in this case I found this quote after I’d taken the photos and was delighted it fit so well.
Once I remember doing the ridge of Snowdon called Crib Goch after a winter frost . The wind had sculpted the frost on the Lee side into rose like structures..
Sorry to hear of the grim thoughts but delighted that my blog was able to help cheer you. Thanks so much for taking the time to tell me. Much appreciated! 🙂

Sounds fabulous, Rei. I do hope for more ‘weather’ art over the winter. 🙂
This just pulled me out of grim thoughts to the opposite. Thank you! it’s lovely.

Beautiful shots. The frost seems to trace every vein in the leaves.
Thank you very much, Belinda. 🙂
These are wonderful, Sconzani!
Thank you kindly, Pete. 🙂
Love it. We’re in a more temperate zone, so ice is rare. Your collage is refreshing!
Glad you enjoyed it, Shannon. Thank you. 🙂

Thanks, Lauri. I know you like Nature’s cold weather art! 🙂
