One of the advantages of all the recent wet weather is that it aids the development of slime moulds.
I found this lovely stuff on some small dead bramble twigs during today’s walk along the south Wales coastal path.
It may be Mucilago crustacea but I can’t be sure about that identification.
Interesting stuff, isn’t it? I have never, knowingly, seen any.
I was taken for a drive today and on one of the many roundabouts here in MK, there were red roses blooming, that was a surprise.

I guess it’s been mild where you are too, then.
You have to get a bit dirty to find slime – picking up rotting logs or ferreting around in the undergrowth – it’s not for everyone. 🙂

I do have a problem with getting my hands dirty I am sure it started at Infant’s School when I was made to play with nasty grey clay that stuck to everything. It was never changed either…
