In its section about the Wren (Troglodytes troglodytes) my Fauna Britannica has this disturbing sentence: ‘In some areas, the sight of Wrens congregating presaged bad weather.’ I’d better not tell you how many Wrens I saw together yesterday because I’m sure that, like me, you really don’t want any more bad weather!
I was unaware of that fact! Thank you.

Oh, do, please tell since I have never seen more than two together.

Hehe … only 3, probably disputing over territory or mate … does that mean Storm Jorge won’t be too bad, though? We have constant heavy rain here today.

That is a good number!
Storm Jorge? What happened to one beginning with E? We, too, have constant heavy rain; frankly, I am fed up with it and can’t remember when I last felt dry.

The sun is shining as I write – joy! I guess by now you know that, because Jorge formed near Portugal, it was named by the met office down that way, just as the Irish met office name some storms we get.
