Today, a quiz: can you name the birds whose feet these are?
Thanks Annie, a good quiz, and certainly passed a bit of time on a wet and stormy day.

A hard one for me Annie and not something I could do with books or Google, here we go…
1, Canada Goose
2, Herring Gull
3, Black Headed Gull
4, Common Gull

Great effort, Dave. I’m not sure I would get these myself. Your first choice is correct, the others not, though you’re heading in the right direction – one of the other three is a gull.

Final go…bottom left, could be a mallard but its not really orange enough.
Bottom right , lesser Black Backed Gull.
Top right , no idea.
Good fun on a wet and windy day though. Thanks.

You’re on a roll, Dave! Number 3 is indeed a Mallard and number 4 a Lesser black-backed gull.
And number 2 is another goose, a Greylag. 🙂
