I had a few of these in my California garden for a couple of years, but they did not thrive, and eventually died out. But they are beautiful! I’ve never seen one in the wild.

Sorry you lost them. I think the local ones may originally have come from a sown wildflower mix from several years ago. The wind-blown seed is gradually establishing itself in unmown areas of the Barrage’s sandy soil.
