Looking at the ‘webz’ Dogwood seems to be the one. It works out then, that I knew all but the mystery one. I have impressed myself!
Oh, very well done. I’ll have to ask a friend about the mystery berries. It’s a very low-growing plant – I’ll need to get better photos of its parts. 🙂
Here is a conundrum for me – I know the first two fruits, I think I know the third but the final three have me stumped; please elucidate?
Hmmm, now you’ve put me on the spot as I actually don’t know one of these. They are: guelder rose, bramble, hawthorn, spindle, elderberry, unknown and cotoneaster.
That Elderberry doesn’t look right to me, nor do the leaves.
You are probably right as my tree ID skills are very poor. (And this is why I never forage! I might poison myself.) Perhaps Dogwood?
