I was surprised, but delighted to find this Honeysuckle plant still in flower today.
Did you know its scent, which is strongest at night, can be detected by pollinating moths a quarter of a mile away (Flora Britannica)? Did you know its vernacular name is woodbine (I know at least one of you did) and the plant is mentioned in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream:
Sleep thou, and I will wind thee in my arms ..
So doth the woodbine, the sweet honeysuckle
It’s my pleasure to keep you informed! I think I have a knack of buying perfume-free aromatics, other than my gorgeous Irises which give me agreat deal of pleasure through May and June each year. Even my Mock Orange is free of scent…

Presumably this is not deliberate? Mock orange has a glorious scent. I once had a house with a huge bush at the front gate – such a sweet homecoming.

It is NOT deliberate. I tried to plant for perfume and wildlife but I get duff plants, obviously.

Teehee!
My Honeysuckle plant is totally without perfume – I keep forgetting to buy one that has an aroma!
