I mentioned recently how I sometimes find orchids difficult to identify. These photos illustrate why. As far as I can work out, as they all had spots on their leaves, and in spite of the variation in colours and patterns, these are all Common spotted-orchids (Dactylorhiza fuchsia).

I completely agree with you on this one. The differences are in the small details. And I don’t know anything about orchids!

Looking more closely at orchids has at least been a good lesson for me, to take more careful note of those small details. 🙂

Find the same our local orchids are Common Spotted Orchids, Colours range from almost white to a deep purple.
