These stunning female Broad-bodied chasers (Libellula depressa) were at the pond at Lavernock Nature Reserve today. Watching them fly, perch, and lay their eggs was an hour very well spent. Bliss!

Gorgeous insects and Iovely images, they look like they’re actually made of gold.

I’ve spent many an hour, & more watching dragons & damsels as you know. Such great value 🙂 and far more entertaining than anything being televised.
