The French dent-de-lion, lion’s tooth (from the shape of its leaves), became, in English, Dandelion, that wonderful burst of wildflower yellow that lights up grassy meadows and roadside verges, and provides an important early source of pollen to emerging insects. I couldn’t go past this particularly lush flower as I stomped down the zigzag path this afternoon.

What bliss! I love them but have not seen any this year – yet. I do have some miniscule Daffodillies and a feeble Muscari or two. (My Wallflowers have been very exuberant since November.
I will be reading backward – I have a new laptop which refuses to acknowledge the old one and, as you might imagine, it results in frustration amd grinding of teeth. I am now reading on my old HP – again!

I feel your pain. My laptop died just before Christmas and I was dreading the changeover but the local computer shop chap was a jewel, transferred across all my old files and set everything up at no extra charge! Good luck with yours.
